The Sarayu is Ayodhya's eternal companion. At dawn, mist lifts from the water as bells and chants drift across the ghats; at dusk, lamps are set afloat and the riverfront glows with devotion.
From the long steps of Ram Ki Paidi to the stillness of Guptar Ghat, each ghat has its own mood, and each is best experienced slowly.
